Underage Drinking Campaign

Successful community collaboration and strategic campaigns focusing on the harmful effects of underage drinking have helped to reduce 30 day of use of alcohol among 9th graders in Danbury, CT by 13.3 percentage points from 2010 to 2016. To view the survey, click here.

It’s 21 for a Reason

Alcohol can damage or kill neurons, altering development of part of the adolescent brain that is still forming. Alcohol causes teens to make bad decisions, develop a tolerance more quickly than adults, take greater risks and can cause teens to forget and lose memory.
